The Subject of “Mathematical Ideas” as an Innovation Project for Critical Mathematical Citizens
PhD from Universidad Autónoma of Madrid with the thesis “Imaginaries of future teachers about mathematics. Towards a mathematical culture for social justice”. She has taught in elementary and secondary schools, and also in university level. In her research she has explored issues related to ethnomathematics, didactic analysis, social justice and imaginaries about mathematics, B-Learning and virtual learning environments. Her research is focused on contributing to a more just education, and she is currently exploring how to introduce aspects of social justice in the university context. She is a professor at Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá.
